INTELLECTUAL OUTPUTS

MOVING STARS Project includes 5 Intellectual outputs:

  • Intellectual Output 1 The development of the pedagogical framework of the MOVING STARS training programme, based on an extended needs assessment survey among teachers and a literature review on children’s movement skills development and the role of game-based learning. A collection of best practices on movement skills and road safety skills based on game-based learning approach from all countries will also take place.
  • Intellectual Output 2 The development of the MOVING STARS training programme, starting from a collection of game proposals (board games, conversation games, role playing, visual art games etc.). The training programme will be pre-tested during the 3 first Training Activities in Greece, Spain and Ireland. To be amended and redesigned in the form of a “Training Toolkit” (IO4).
  • Intellectual Output 3 The MOVING STARS Application Deployment consisting of entertaining movement-based learning games using motion sensing input devices.
  • Intellectual Output 4 The "Safety To All RoadS HUB" (STARS HUB), aiming to be a living lab of implementing Traffic Safety and Mobility Education activities at the premises of the school engaging the whole school community. The idea is to create a set of rotation workstations addressing different road safety topics (walking, crossing the street, cycling equipment, seat belt use etc.) where students can play and learn. All training material (Teacher’s Manual, flashcards, activity cards, memory game, board game, training mat, video game etc.) will be included at the STARS Toolkit (or MOVING STARS BOX) available to all schools. A Pilot Network of 100 schools throughout Europe will be established till the end of the project.
  • Intellectual Output 5 Validation: Pre-test and Evaluation of the training programme, including a detailed presentation of the validation plan, the validation elements of innovation, expected instruments and the analysis of the data collected during the two cycles of implementation impact and transferability potential and the school-based activities.
